SAMPLE collection for food products will start in mid-June for risk assessment, said the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Department under the Ministry of Health.
In accordance with Directive 6/2025, the FDA has issued approvals for local food manufacturers which apply for setting up new businesses or extending their current business licences. The food sampling procedure will be followed after the approval is issued. Through e-submission for local food manufacturers launched on 23 January 2026, the food sampling will be carried out in accordance with the risk-based inspection and certificate system SOP for local food manufacturing, starting from 15 June, the FDA said. — MT/ZS
