UNION Minister for Information U Htein Linn met the staff at The Global New Light of Myanmar newspaper on Nga Htet Gyi Pagoda Street, Bahan Township, Yangon, yesterday afternoon.
During the meeting, the Union minister addressed newspaper’s news content will serve as a historical record in the future, so it should only publish reliable news, write engaging content, publish newspapers more widely despite the large number of online readers, pay attention to the digital platform, help those who value it, encourage more people to read it than just for profit, and put it in libraries and schools.
The chief editor and editorial staff discussed the recommendations from the Union minister.
