THE “Mandaly Thein Zaw’s Golden Jubilee Theatrical Performance Festival” marking the 50- year performing arts career of veteran theatrical actor Mandalay Thein Zaw will be held on 27 and 28 June at the National Theatre (Yangon) in Dagon Township, Yangon Region, according to the organizer.
The two-day commemorative performance will feature well-known artistes including Sithu Daw Tin Tin Mya, Academy Cho Pyone, Mandalay Sein Tint Lwin, director Nyein Min, among others.
Veteran theatrical actor Mandalay Thein Zaw said the event is a tribute marking his long journey in the performing arts industry spanning five decades, expressing gratitude to colleagues and fellow artistes who have supported him throughout his career. He added that he has remained dedicated to preserving traditional theatre and considers himself fully committed to the profession of the performing arts.
He is also known for contributions in music, poetry, film and video productions, according to the statement. — MNA/KZL
