DEPUTY Minister for Foreign Affairs U Ko Ko Kyaw received Mr Abhay Thakur, Ambassador of India at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

 

They cordially ex­changed views on matters relating to the promotion of the existing friendly re­lations between the two countries in particular on the implementation of the outcomes of the Myan­mar President’s recent Official Visit to India.

 

They also discussed the progress of ongoing development projects including the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transport Project as well as co­operation on matters of mutual interest at both regional and internation­al arena. Furthermore, their discussion covered the provision of capaci­ty-building programmes to Myanmar including Members of Parliament and on further enhanc­ing cooperation in My­anmar’s peace process. — MNA
