A lethwei contest titled ‘Fearless Tiger’ is being organized on Fri-day in Mandalay by the World Lethwei Championship (WLC).
The event will include local and international fighters, and will start at 5 p.m. on 4 October at the Mandalar Thiri Indoor Stadium in Mandalay. The event will feature eight bouts, including a women’s bout.
The main bout of the event is scheduled to take place between Myanmar’s Thway Thit Win Hlaing and Germany’s Burutlek Petchyindee Academy in the light middleweight (67 to 71 kg) class. Thway Thit Win Hlaing, 25, is 170 cm tall and has recorded 42 wins, one loss, and 29 draws, while Bu-rutlek Petchyindee Academy, 25, is 175cm tall and has 81 wins, 19 losses, 3 draws to his credit.
The co-main bout will feature Myanmar’s Nicola Barke vs Hungary’s Bianka Balajt in the light welterweight (60 to 63.5kg) class. Nicola Barke, 26, is 172cm tall and has five wins and one loss in her kitty.
In the featherweight (54 to 57 kg) class, Myanmar’s Mite Yine will take on Viet Nam’s Nguyen Thakh Trung, while Myanmar’s Shuklaine Min will face Cambo-dia’s Thun Chantak in the light welterweight (60 to 63.5kg) class.
Myanmar’s Thway Thit Maung will also meet with Mo-rocco’s Omar Elouers in the light welterweight (60 to 63.5kg) class.
There will be three bouts featuring Myanmar lethwei fighters: Hein Tun Aung will meet with Auk Chin Lay in the lightweight (57 to 60kg) class, Hein Tun Aung will take on Auk Chin Lay in the lightweight (57 to 60kg) class, and Thein Soe will fight Soe Win Than in the bantamweight (51 to 54kg) class. The event will be broadcast live on CANAL+ Myanmar FG.
