Myanmar National Symphony Orchestra Concerts 2020 staged in Yangon

The Myanmar National Symphony Orchestra of Myanma Radio and Television under the Ministry of Information, together with Japanese artistes, featured their performances at the Novotel Hotel in Yangon yesterday evening.

The event, dubbed ‘Myanmar National Symphony Orchestra Concerts 2020’, was attended by Yangon Region Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Lin Naing Myint, Yangon Region Government’s Rakhine Ethnic Affairs Minister U Zaw Aye Maung, Japanese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Ichiro Maruyama, heads of foreign missions in Myanmar, the invited guests and music lovers.

The concert was started with the national anthems of Myanmar and Japan.

Myanmar musicians and Japanese conductor and composer Mr Yunosuke Yamamoto entertained the audience with western music, Myanmar classical songs and western songs.

A similar event will be presented admission-free at Myanmar International Convention Center-II in Nay Pyi Taw from 6 pm to 8 pm on 25 February.—Min Thit (MNA)(Translated by Aung Khin)
