No casualties were reported after a truck carrying bags of betel nuts caught fire in Gangaw Township, Magway Region.

The accident occurred on the Gangaw-Kalay Road near Kyundat Village in Gangaw Township when a 12-wheeled truck heading to Kalay from Yangon caught fire. The fire spreads to bags of betel nut, and tires on the truck. An estimated loss of property due to the fire was about one million kyats.
The truck driver identified as Kyaw Myint, has been taken action over fire negligence by the local police.—Taungthar Maung Than
