The 73rd anniversary of the Bu­reau of Special Investigation un­der the Ministry of Home Affairs was commemorated yesterday morning in the assembly hall of Office No 49 of the Bureau of Special Investigation in Nay Pyi Taw.

 

The event was attended by Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Member of the State Administration Council and Union Minister for Home Affairs, along with Deputy Minis­ter Maj-Gen Toe Yi, Permanent Secretary U Khaing Tun Oo, and senior officers from various de­partments under the ministry.

 

During the ceremony, Union Minister Lt-Gen Yar Pyae deliv­ered a congratulatory speech. Attendees also watched a video showcasing the activities of BSI. The Union Minister, along with other guests, provided supplies to staff and presented awards to a Best Trainee award win­ner and three other outstanding trainees from the Sub-Inspec­tor of Police Training Course 114/2023.

 

Deputy Minister Maj-Gen Toe Yi awarded a trainee who excelled in law and another who excelled in training in the SIP course 114/2023. Permanent Sec­retary U Khaing Tun Oo award­ed a third-place winner in the Basic Diplomatic Skills Course and the BSI Director-General, a student who passed the 2023- 2024 matriculation exam with six distinctions. — MNA/TKO
