Award ceremony of the painting competition on the topic “the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” was held at the community center of Information and Public Relations Department in Thayet Township of Magway Region this morning.

At the event, an official from the Township Information and Public Relations Department under Ministry of Information clarified the purposes of competition of painting on the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Afterwards, Artist U Nyunt Hlaing discussed matters relating to the award selection process.

After that staff officer of Information and Public Relations Department Daw Myint Myint Swe and officials presented 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd prizes and two consolation prizes to the students who won the prizes. Then, Chairperson of the Township Women’s Affair Federation handed over gifts to 20 students who participated in the competition. After that 20 students and teachers looked round the informative wall bulletin on the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking displayed at the community center.—Zaw Htet(Thayet)
