Central Committee on Copyright meeting 1/2024 held

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo participated in the Central Committee on Copyright meeting held yesterday after­noon at the conference hall of the Ministry of Commerce in Nay Pyi Taw, where he, serving as Chairman, delivered an address.

 

The gathering saw the presence of Central Committee Vice-Chairman Union Minis­ter for Commerce U Tun Ohn, along with deputy ministers, di­rectors-general, departmental officials, copyright experts, and representatives from various associations attending via vid­eoconference.

 

In his opening speech, Gen­eral Mya Tun Oo highlighted the importance of copyright protec­tion. Vice-Chairman Union Min­ister U Tun Ohn further elaborat­ed on the ongoing development of the copyright system and out­lined the forthcoming processes.

 

Deputy Minister U Min Min, acting as Secretary of the Com­mittee, provided an update on the implementation status of resolutions from the previous meeting.

 

Subsequently, Central Com­mittee Joint Secretary Direc­tor-General Dr Moe Moe Thwae presented the orders submitted for discussion during the meet­ing.

 

The members of the Central Committee, including Deputy Ministers Dr Wah Wah Maung, U Ye Tint, Dr Aung Gyi, U Yin Maung Nyunt, Dr Zaw Myint, and Dr Aung Zeya, along with officials, briefed the audience on copyright-related activities with­in their respective ministries.

 

Following these briefings, Deputy Prime Minister General Mya Tun Oo led discussions, co­ordinated actions, and endorsed the draft resolution for the Cen­tral Committee on Copyright meeting 1/2024.
