An expert discussion on Chi­na-Myanmar cooperation opportunities, organized by China Media Group, was held on 27 July at the Chinese Cul­ture Centre Yangon in Ahlon Township, Yangon Region, according to the centre.

 

U Khin Maung Soe, a member of the Global Re­search Network Belt and Road Initiative (GRN-BRI), U Khin Maung Zaw, joint secre­tary of the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and Internation­al Studies (MISIS), and Dr Naing Swe Oo, the founder and executive director of the ThayNinGa Institute for Stra­tegic Studies, participated in the discussion.

 

In the discussion, they explored how China’s reforms will create new opportunities for China-Myanmar Belt and Road cooperation, enhance China-Myanmar economic ties, and strengthen the deep friendship between the peo­ple of China and Myanmar, as well as their shared future.

 

In addition, the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has outlined the direction for China’s development and is expected to pave the way for China-Myanmar bilateral de­velopment and cooperation, according to the conversa­tion. — ASH/TH
