Pwintbyu, 8 September

Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development made a field trip to inspect construction work of a gravel road in Thamongon Village in Pwintbyu Township of Magway Region this morning. 

During the inspection tour, officials met with responsible persons in the village and stressed the importance of quality construction and maintenance, and urged them to meet the set standard.

An earthen road measuring 4200 ft. long, 12 ft. wide and nine inches thick is being constructed by DRD with Ks. 16.00 million including Ks.15 million of DRD’s fund in 2024-2025 FY and Ks. 1 million contributed by local people.

With the aim of ensuring swift flow of commodity and saving time and money, construction works of a gravel road have been initiated since August 14 this year in Thamongon Village in Pwintbyu Township of Magway Region and now, all the projects have been completed 90 percent.—Hlaing Win Lay(Pwintbyu Mye)
