Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win inspected the Medical Skills, Simulation, and Research Centre of University of Medicine (1) in Yangon yesterday morning.
He observed the training of basic orthopaedic surgery practical skills and met with faculty members from the Department of Orthopedics who were conducting the course.
They also interacted closely with current medical science students and provided necessary instructions.
Following this, the Union Minister and officials visited University of Medicine (1) Yangon, where they inspected the trainees’ dormitory. He also inspected the sites for construction of a five-storey student hostels on the university campus situated near the National Health Laboratory Department.
The Union Minister and officials viewed round medical wards at Yangon General Hospital and medical treatment at new seven-storey building of the hospital, leaving instructions on convenient receiving of medical treatments for patients, supply of medicines, maintenance of the building and security measures.— MNA/TKO
