Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Than Swe received Ms Ma Jia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
They cordially discussed matters pertaining to further consolidation of the existing Pauk-Phaw relations and implementation of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, as well as China’s consistent support towards peace and sustainable socioeconomic development for Myanmar.
Both sides also exchanged views on closer collaboration in the regional and international arena, especially ASEAN and the United Nations. — MNA
