U THAN SWE, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Repub­lic of the Union of Myanmar, held Myanmar-China bilateral consultations with Mr Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, yesterday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw.

 

During the bilateral meet­ing, the two sides cordially exchanged views on matters pertaining to the further consoli­dation of the existing Pauk Phaw relations and the Chinese Gov­ernment’s consistent support towards Peace and sustainable socioeconomic development of the people of Myanmar. They reaffirmed mutual support in re­gional and multilateral arenas and matters of common inter­ests. The Deputy Prime Min­ister also apprised the Chinese Foreign Minister of the latest developments in Myanmar.

 

In the evening, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Min­ister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe hosted a dinner for the vis­iting Chinese delegation led by Mr Wang Yi, a Member of the Political Bureau of Chinese Com­munist Party Central Committee and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China at the Horizon Lake View Hotel. — MNA
