The opening ceremony of the Digital Talent & Career Fair/ Scholarship Programme (In­dia) was organized at the In­formation and Communication Technology Research Centre of the Ministry of Science and Technology in Yangon yester­day.

 

At the event, Union Minis­ter for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw and the presidents of UMFCCI and the Myanmar Digital Econo­my and Association (MDEA) made remarks, respectively.

 

The Digital Talent & Ca­reer Fair/Scholarship Pro­gramme (India) is the very first University-Research-In­dustry (URI) Model jointly in­itiated by the Information and Communication Technology Research Centre and MDEA. It is a three-month internship programme for final-year stu­dents of the Universities of Computer Studies.

 

Moreover, the programme carries financial assistance for 83 students and scholarships for ten outstanding students for the Professional Diploma in Java Programming Course. During the three-month in­ternship, knowledge-sharing programmes for IoT, includ­ing software development, networking development, and AI (artificial intelligence), will be included.

 

The event features booths of 10 job-seeking companies, interviews and scholarship programmes for the Profes­sional Diploma in Java Pro­gramming Course (India). — MNA/KTZH
