Officials made a field trip this morning to inspect farmland submerged by a torrential downpour in villages in Paung Township of Mon State.
Officials including Daw Thin Thin Saint, staff officer of Thaton District Department of Agriculture, U Kyaw Zaw Aung, staff officer of Thaton District Survey Department, U Kyaw Swa Hlaing, staff officer of the Township Department of Agriculture and U Than Nyunt Oo, staff officer of the Township Survey Department inspected paddy fields damaged by floods, and gave necessary instructions to farmers in the villages.
A total of 123226 acres of farmland in four villages such as Letpandaw, Moktama, Hmawbi and Nathmaw villages in the Township were submerged by floods due to continuous rain.—Mon Mah Lay(IPRD)
