Pwintbyu, 10 July
To ensure the safety of teachers and students, two schools in Pwintbyu Township of Magway Region are temporarily closed starting from the morning of July 10 as water level in Irrawaddy River rises from continuous rain, according to the Township Education officer’s office.
A Basic Education Primary School in Thankai Village and a Basic Education Primary school in Kukyi Village in Pwintbyu Township of Magway Region are temporarily closed starting from July 10 due to the inflow of water from the Irrawaddy River.
The students from the closed schools will be compensated for the missed lessons and will be given additional time to study when the floodwaters decrease.—Hlaing Win Lay(Pwintbyu Mye)
