A total of ten schools in Minhla Township of Bago Region are temporarily closed starting from the morning of July 22 as water level in Myitmakha River increases, according to the Township Education officer’s office.
To ensure the safety of teachers and students, ten schools are temporarily closed on July 22 as water level in Myitmakha River rises from continuous rain. Myitmakha River is a tributary of the Irrawaddy River.
The students from the closed schools will be compensated for the missed lessons and will be given additional times to study their lessons every Sunday when the floodwaters decrease.—Pauk Sa(Minhla)
