Myanmar and the United Arab Emirates enhanced cooperation in tourism, trade, and other sectors between Myanmar and the UAE.

 

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing explained the endeavours of the State Administration Council in realizing the firm multiparty democrat­ic system the entire people aspire to.

 

Chairman of the State Adminis­tration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accepted the Credentials of Ambassador-desig­nate Mr Mutaz Abdullah Abdulijaleel Mohamed Al Faheem of the United Arab Emirates to Myanmar at the Cre­dentials Hall of the Office of the State Administration Council in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

 

They also discussed diplomatic re­lations between the two countries, plans to establish a direct aviation route, recent developments in Myanmar’s political landscape, preparations for a free and fair multiparty democratic general election, and the verification of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in northern Rakhine State in accordance with agreements between Myanmar and Bangladesh.

 

Also present at the ceremony were Council Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister U Than Swe and Director-General U Wunna Han of the Protocol Department under the Min­istry of Foreign Affairs. — MNA/TTA
