The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that a traditional Japanese bag-making course was held at the Myanmar Embassy in Tokyo on 22 August. The event aimed to strengthen people-to-people relations and foster cultural exchanges between Myanmar and Japan.

During the course, Mrs Osawa Michiyo demonstrated how to make traditional Japanese bags using Myanmar textiles. The demonstration was attended by the staff of the Myanmar Embassy and Military Attaché office, along with their family members. The course was beneficial in enhancing Myanmar-Japan cultural exchanges and promoting Myanmar textiles and traditional foods among the Japanese.
