Myanmar Mercantile Ma­rine College (MMMC) will be­gin offering diploma courses for cadets in January 2025 for the 2025-2026 academic year.

 

These two-year courses include the Mercantile Marine Cadet Course (CD/52), Mer­cantile Marine Engineering Cadet Course (CE/50), and Mercantile Marine Electrical Cadet Course (CME/05). Upon successful completion, cadets will be awarded diplomas in nautical studies, maritime technology, or marine electri­cal engineering.

 

Applicants must have passed the Grade-12 exami­nation and must not be older than 21 years of age as of 31 December 2024. Those apply­ing for the Mercantile Marine Cadet Course and Marine En­gineering Cadet Course must have passed with subject com­binations including chemistry and physics, and must have achieved a total score of at least 400 marks. Applicants for the Mercantile Marine Electrical Cadet Course must have passed with subject com­binations including chemistry and physics, and must have a minimum total score of 390 marks.

 

Applications can be sub­mitted in person until 31 Au­gust. The college will admit 130 trainees for the Mercan­tile Marine Cadet Course, 130 for the Marine Engineering Cadet Course, and 40 for the Mercantile Marine Electrical Cadet Course.
