Mudon, 29 February

A fire broke out at about 10:00 am on 29 February in Paikamar Village in Mudon Township of Mon State. The fire was thought to have started from a lighted mosquito coil left in the house of U Chit Kyi in the village.

Firemen led by staff officer of the Township Fire Services Department U Phone Myint Aye rushed to the scene to fight the fire in cooperation with auxiliary firefighters and locals and the blaze was successfully extinguished at around 10:15 am.

The fire partly damaged two-story building measuring 20 ft. in length and 50 ft. in width and burned 20 bags of rice stored in the house. But No casualty is reported.—Aung Myo Thu(IPRD)
