A plan is underway to sign a memorandum of understanding between officials from the Mandalay Zone of Myanmar Tourism Entrepreneurs Association and those from Dehong Economic Association, according to the officials from the Mandalay Tourism Zone.
Dehong Economic Association will connect with the Mandalay Tourism Zone to operate a tourism promotion for development of tourism industry while managing Myanmar-China exchange of visits in local tourist destinations including Mandalay Zone.
“Dehong Economic Association based in Mandalay will sign an MoU with the Myanmar Tourism Entrepreneurs Association. According to the programme, they will offer tourism representatives to pay visits to Myanmar. On our side, we have arranged to sign the MoU so as to operate the tourism promotion with the plan of fund trips to Chinese provinces,” said U Wunna Lwin, the Vice-Chair of Mandalay Zone.
Under the programme of the fun trips, travellers will be arranged to pay visits not only to Mandalay Zone but to ecotourism sites in Bagan, Taunggyi and Inlay zones.
The global tourism industry, which had declined worldwide, is now recovering. In this context, the Myanmar Tourism Entrepreneurs Association is continuously working to promote new domestic travel routes and enhance existing tourist destinations, ensuring that international travellers are informed. — ASH/TTA
