A plan is underway to sign a memorandum of understand­ing between officials from the Mandalay Zone of Myanmar Tourism Entrepreneurs As­sociation and those from De­hong Economic Association, according to the officials from the Mandalay Tourism Zone.

 

Dehong Economic Asso­ciation will connect with the Mandalay Tourism Zone to operate a tourism promotion for development of tourism in­dustry while managing Myan­mar-China exchange of visits in local tourist destinations including Mandalay Zone.

 

“Dehong Economic Asso­ciation based in Mandalay will sign an MoU with the Myan­mar Tourism Entrepreneurs Association. According to the programme, they will offer tourism representatives to pay visits to Myanmar. On our side, we have arranged to sign the MoU so as to op­erate the tourism promotion with the plan of fund trips to Chinese provinces,” said U Wunna Lwin, the Vice-Chair of Mandalay Zone.

 

Under the programme of the fun trips, travellers will be arranged to pay visits not only to Mandalay Zone but to ecotourism sites in Bagan, Taunggyi and Inlay zones.

 

The global tourism in­dustry, which had declined worldwide, is now recovering. In this context, the Myanmar Tourism Entrepreneurs Asso­ciation is continuously work­ing to promote new domestic travel routes and enhance existing tourist destinations, ensuring that international travellers are informed. — ASH/TTA
