Myanmar Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, U Thant Sin, attended a gala lunch in Seoul on 28 May with ASEAN Secretary-General Dr Kao Kim Hourn and members of the ASEAN Committee (Seoul), according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the ASEAN secretary-general discussed current developments in the ASEAN region and ASEAN-ROK relations, with attendees exchanging their views on these topics.
Ambassador U Thant Sin provided updates on the working visit to Myanmar by Mr Alounkeo Kittikhoun, ASEAN Special Envoy to Myanmar. He also discussed Myanmar’s cooperation with ASEAN in implementing the five-point consensus and enhancing strategic relations between ASEAN and the Republic of Korea. – ASH/ TMT
