The Myanmar Education Conference 2024, which was themed ‘To Further Promote Education for the develop­ment of Human Resources’, took place at the Myanmar International Convention Centre II (MICC II) in Nay Pyi Taw from 25 to 27 June.

 

Union Minister for Edu­cation Dr Nyunt Pe, deputy ministers, senior military of­ficers, experts, the permanent secretaries, directors-gener­al, rectors, principals, pro-rec­tors, region/state educational officers, faculty members and students attended the con­ference.

 

Speaking at the event, the Union minister said 11 ministries will conduct ne­gotiations to implement the plan while the ministry mainly carries out the education de­velopment activities and the affiliated ministries conduct occupational training for hu­man resource development.

 

This year, the ministry and its affiliated ministries will read out papers. The ministry is offering inclusive learning opportunities for the primary students to the youths who are ready for the working environment, and the conference will fulfil the needs if there are some re­quirements and weaknesses.

 

He then urged partici­pation in discussions to turn out good citizens and skilled citizens for the country.

 

Attendees participated in the discussions on different topics.

 

The teachers and stu­dents of basic education schools observed the educa­tional booths displayed by the Ministry of Education and the ministries concerned in the evening.

 

The Myanmar Education Conference will continue at the Myanmar International Convention Centre II (MICC II) in Nay Pyi Taw until 27 June. — MNA/KTZH
