The second day of the meeting between the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) and the political parties’ working group continued at the National Soli­darity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

 

Union Minister for Border Affairs and NSPNC Chair Lt- Gen Tun Tun Naung, NSPNC members and Dr Aye Maung, leader of the political parties’ working group and Chairman of the Arakan Front Party, along with other representatives, at­tended the meeting.

 

During the meeting, the two sides discussed and negotiated issues related to general elec­tions and constitutional amend­ment proposals that had not been completed on the first day of the meeting. In the general discussion, current political sit­uations and security issues were discussed. Opinions obtained from the two-day talks were then recorded as summaries.

 

Afterwards, Dr Aye Maung, leader of the political parties’ working group and the chairman of the Arakan Front Party, ex­pressed his word of thanks, and National Solidarity and Peace­making Negotiation Committee Chair Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung gave the closing remarks and finally took a documentary group photograph. — MNA/TS
