As per the instruction made by State Administration Coun­cil Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, students and soldiers who passed the matric exam of the 2023-2024 academic year with flying colours went on a foreign excursion to study in­ternational culture and enrich knowledge.

The group left for China on 26 August evening. The group contained 29 people-children of in-service and war veteran members, five nation­al-level outstanding students, 16 students who got the high­est marks, one soldier who passed with three distinctions, two soldiers who passed with two distinctions in the 2023- 2024 matriculation examina­tion, and five principals/ad­ministrative officials, and was led by Col Thurein Tun of the office of the Adjutant-Gener­al from Commander-in-Chief (Army) office. They will visit China from 26 to 31 August.

Tatmadaw has presented awarded prizes to the chil­dren of Tatmadaw families, war veteran members and Tatmadaw substitute staff who passed the matricula­tion exam with distinctions since 2011-2012. Among them, the outstanding soldiers and youths were arranged to go on foreign excursing in 2013, and the plan was suspended dur­ing the outbreak of COVID-19 and resumed in the 2023-2024 academic year. — MNA/KTZH
