Officials gave a domiciliary visit to provide cash assistance to senior citizens aged 85 and above in rural areas in Monghsat District of eastern Shan State on 29 February and provided cash assistance to elderly people.

Under this cash assistance program, a total of 199 senior citizens aged 85 and above in the District received K 30000 each for three months.

Also present on the occasion were U Nyi Nyi Htway, Chairman of the Township Administration Body, Daw Zin Mar Kyi, Assistance Director of the District Disaster Management Department and U Ar Lun, Chairman of the Township Administration Body.

Officials will continue to provide the rest of elderly people aged 85 and above in the District, according to the District Disaster Management Department.—Myint Maung(Monghsat)
