Gangaw, 18 February

 

A handing over ceremony of a six-storey staff housing belonging to the Department of Urban and Housing Development was held in Gangaw, Magway Region on 17 February.

At first, Chief Minister of Magway Region Dr. Aung Moe Nyo and Regional Minister for Construction and Transport U Tin Ngwe Oo delivered addresses and Director of the Department of Urban and Housing Development U Tun Myint Aung explained the completion of staff housing and allocation to government staff. The chief minister and his party then planted commemorative saplings and looked round the housing.

           

Also present on the occasion were Speaker of Regional parliament U Tar, Deputy Speaker U Zaw Myo Win, Regional Minister for Environmental Conservation, Electricity and Energy U Myint Zaw, Regional MP U Aung San Win, Gangaw District Deputy Commissioner U Kyaw Min Nyo, Township Administrator U Maung Maung Aye, departmental staff, guests and residents.

The chief minister and his entourage donated Ks. 14,050,000 contributed by the local government to renovate school facilities of Myoma BEHS and Ks. 1 million for a stipend association.—Taungthar Maung Than
