Union Health Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win received Sri Lankan Ambassador to My­anmar Mr J M J P Bandara, who had completed his tour of duties in Myanmar, at the Un­ion Minister’s office yesterday.

 

The ambassador of Sri Lanka to Myanmar thanked the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Health for pro­viding US$1.5 million worth of medicines and medical supplies to Sri Lanka during its time of need. He also ex­pressed his gratitude to all the people of Myanmar.

 

Both sides exchanged views on the promotion of co­operation in the health sector between the two countries, especially in the public health sector and the traditional medicine sector, further co­operation in the private health sector, mutual exchange of knowledge and experiences in health sciences, and continued collaboration in the future. — MNA/TS
