A ceremony to provide cash assistance to those affected by strong winds was held at the meeting hall of General Administration Department in Pwintbyu Township of Magway Region yesterday.

At the event, Chairman of the Township Disaster Management Committee U Aung Myat Khaing discussed matters relating to natural disaster and called on the people to prepare before the disaster during the rainy season. If the natural disaster occurs in the area, you should inform to the relevant departments in a timely manner so that they can carry out the necessary relief work. U Aung Myat Khain said that the government provides the funds and relief materials to help the people affected by natural disasters and should use it effectively.
