At the invitation of the Govern­ment of the People’s Republic of China, U Thein Sein, former President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, left Nay Pyi Taw to attend the 70th Anni­versary of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence in the People’s Republic of China at 8 am on 27 June 2024 by Special Flight from Nay Pyi Taw Airport.

 

The Myanmar delegation was seen off by Admiral Tin Aung San, Member of the State Administration Council, Dep­uty Prime Minister and Union Minister for Defence, U Wunna Maung Lwin, Member of the State Administration Council, U Ko Ko Hlaing, Union Minister of the Ministry 2 at Office of the Chairman of the State Admin­istration Council, U Lwin Oo, Deputy Minister for Foreign Af­fairs, Mr Chen Hai, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Af­fairs.

 

Former President U Thein Sein was accompanied by U Thant Kyaw, Chairman of the Myanmar Institute of Strate­gic and International Studies (MISIS), U Tin Oo, Chairman of the Myanmar-China Friendship Association, Daw Than Than Nu, Chairperson of the U Nu-Daw Mya Yi Foundation and other officials. — MNA
