Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn inspected the Pyinmana-Thabyay Taung MRTV retransmission station in Pyinmana Township of Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

The Union minister first heard presentations made by MRTV Director-General U Ye Naing and an official from the Ministry of Construction.

He then guided sector-wise cooperation in broadcasting programmes, correcting and releasing accurate information in a timely manner and completing construction projects within a fixed time.

He observed the land plot on which one four-unit two-storey staff housing will be constructed using capital expenditures of the 2024-2025 financial year, UpLink processes made by the ministries and received by MRTV (Tatkon) and transmission stations of FM radios and DVB-T2.

He also provided cash assistance to staff and inspected the staff housing and dormitories.

Moreover, he checked the basic camera operation short-term course conducted for four staff members of the Ministry of Planning and Finance, four female photo journalists and two staff members who will serve at China Radio International. — MNA/KTZH
