Wooden bridge being upgraded to reinforced Concrete Bridge in Bago Township

Under the guidance of the Bogo Region Government, the upgrade work of a wooden bailey bridge over the Bago River is being undertaken in the Town of Bago, Bago Region.

The river-crossing bridge linking Zaingnaing (north) Ward with Myoma Market on Nyaungwai-17 Road in the Town of Bago is being upgraded to the reinforced concrete bridge, according to an official from the Township Department of Bridges under Ministry of Construction.

A wooden bridge measuring 320 ft. in length, 18 ft. in width and 3 ft. and 5 inches in height is being upgraded to a reinforced concrete bridge by bridge special task force-9, bridge construction task force-3 of the Department of Bridges under Ministry of Construction.

Upon completion, the bridge will facilitate commodity flow, save time and money, reduce traffic congestion, and local people can travel conveniently by car round-the-clock in the region.—Aung Pyu Linn
