The project’s inception work­shop, “Improvement of Agri­culture Trade Facilitation to Encourage Supply Chain of Myanmar’s Agriculture Prod­ucts in Collaboration with LMC Countries”, initiated with the LMC Special Fund (2023), was organized in Nay Pyi Taw yes­terday.

 

At the ceremony, Union Minister for Agriculture, Live­stock and Irrigation U Min Naung talked about the role of trade facilitation in promoting the agricultural produce ex­port volumes and expanding the market, proper measures for the farmers and those who participate in demand and sup­ply chain, the needs to follow the trading agreements, rule and regulations of the partner countries and proper solutions for the challenges in trading the meat, fish and agricultural produce.

 

The Ministry of Agricul­ture, Livestock and Irrigation was permitted to implement 35 projects with US$12.18 mil­lion with the LMC Special Fund from 2017 to 2023. The ministry implemented four projects in 2023 with US$1.29 million. — MNA/KTZH
