Efforts must be underway to turn out qualified and capable medical officers, nurses, medical pharmacists, and medical technologists who are relied on by the State, Tatmadaw, and the people.

 

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing noted that the role of medical services is crucial in providing physical and mental treatments to those wounded in serving security and defence duties of the State and those in unhealthy conditions.

 

Chairman of the State Ad­ministration Council Command­er-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met commandants, senior officer instructors, senior officer lectur­ers, faculty members, trainees of master’s courses, cadets and trainees from Defence Services Medical Academy and Defence Services Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences at relevant convocation halls separately yes­terday afternoon.

 

Speaking on the occasions, the Senior General pointed out that only when trainees correctly pursue literature and military arts in training will they serve their duties successfully after the training.

 

The Senior General instruct­ed them to provide nursing pa­tients kindly and patiently while serving as nurses to become out­standing nurses by applying sym­pathy and medical knowledge.

 

He stressed that instruc­tors and faculty members have to train trainees with their ex­periences and knowledge from relevant subjects to produce good officers capable of medical education.

 

He continued that medical officers who graduated from DSMA are basically capable of giving healthcare services to patients, and they have to con­tinue further medical studies to become outstanding personnel.

 

The Senior General instruct­ed officer instructors, post-grad­uate trainee cadets, and medical trainees to study advancements in medical education constantly.

 

He spotlighted that officers at management and academic levels have to give training to trainees to be able to come out with outstanding medical officers with fine physical and mental health.

 

The Senior General under­lined that the officer trainees in master’s courses must be capa­ble of shouldering with trainees from other countries in medical education.

 

The Senior General fulfilled the needs of trainees.

 

The Senior General and par­ty had lunch together with cadets from DSMA.

 

At these academies, the acting commandant of DSMA and the commandant of DSINPS reported on the training affairs of their academies.

 

Also present at the meet­ings were Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice-Admiral Zwe Win Myint, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, union-level dignitaries, senior military of­ficers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, faculty members and trainees.

 

Yesterday morning, the Sen­ior General warmly comforted Tatmadaw members who were receiving medical treatment for their injuries suffered while serving State defence and secu­rity duties at Defence Services Orthopaedic Hospital in Yangon. After asking about medical treat­ments and healing of injuries, the Senior General fulfilled the patients.

 

After viewing round the hos­pital, the Senior General attend­ed to the needs of officials.

 

The commandant of the hos­pital reported to the Senior Gen­eral about healthcare services for patients and work processes. The Senior General gave guid­ance on cleaning and beautifying the hospital and upgrading it. — MNA/TTA
