An event to honor outstanding students who passed matriculation examination with distinctions was held at No 7 Basic Education High School for industrial, agricultural and livestock breeding in Insein District of Yangon Region on August 1.

First, member of Insein District Administration Body U Thant Zin delivered an opening speech and then Dr. Thein Marlar, the District Education Officer clarified the purpose of the presentation of awards for outstanding students.

This was followed by the presentation of honorary awards to outstanding students who passed the exam with good grades in matriculation examination in 2023-2024 Academic year by officials.

Under this awarding program, a total of 105 students including 11 students who passed with four distinctions, 18 students who passed with three distinctions, 20 students who pass with two distinctions, 56 students who pass with one distinction and three students who got the highest marks in Yangon Region level received honorary awards respectively.

Afterwards, Chairman of Insein District Administration Council U Thant Zin presented honorary wards to students and teachers from Insein, Hlaingthaya(East) and Hlaingthaya(West) townships who performed the school songs at the ceremony.—Zwe Htet(IPRD)
