The final match and awarding ceremony of the 2024 Inter-State and Region U-21 Men’s Football Tournament was held at Wunna Theikdhi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

 

Secretary of the State Ad­ministration Council Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe enjoyed the match and joined the awarding cere­mony.

 

Kachin State team beat Mon State team 6-1 in the final match. Next, an awarding ceremony was held, and officials presented cash awards and medals to the best athletes, fourth-prize winning Nay Pyi Taw team, third-prize winning Yangon Region team and second-prize winning Mon State team respectively.

 

State Administration Coun­cil Member Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae presented individual medals to the players of the first prize-win­ning Kachin State team.

 

State Administration Coun­cil Secretary Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe presented cash awards and the championship trophy to the first prize-winning Kachin State. After the prize-awarding cere­mony, the Secretary cordially greeted the athletes.

 

The 2024 Inter-State and Re­gion U-21 Men’s Football Tour­nament was held with 15 teams starting from 23 July to 8 Au­gust, aiming to develop Myanma sports and turn out outstanding young athletes. — MNA/KTZH
