If raw materials are weak in purification, production proce­dures will face some problems, harming the quality of finished products, said Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than on his inspection tour of Pa­per Mill (Yeni) in Yeni of Bago Region yesterday afternoon.

 

At the paper mill, the Un­ion minister inspected the repairing of machinery to re­sume running of the 20-tonne packaging paper factory, test-running of machinery and maintenance of the automatic operating systems.

 

In his meeting with staff and employees, the Union minister instructed officials and employees to use raw materials after systemati­cally purifying them, adding that it is necessary to carry out maintenance and repairs of machinery strictly in line with the prescribed rules and standards.

 

He stressed the need to buy the necessary machinery to operate the paper mill as quickly as possible. He contin­ued to say that spare parts of machinery and raw materials must be gathered in order to operate the mill without inter­ruption, he added.

 

The Union minister em­phasized conducting refresher courses for staff and employ­ees to increase their skillful­ness in production procedures and managing the multiplier courses on maintenance and servicing of machinery for em­ployees.

 

During the visit, the Union minister gave instructions to service personnel on how to perform the assigned duties in unison. — MNA/TTA
