Awareness campaign on the scourge of Mpox was held at the people’s hospital in Maukmai Township of Shan State (South) at 3:00 pm on August 27.

Under the supervision of Dr. Mya Mya Than, head of the Township Department of Public Health, senior nurse Daw Nang Amy Khaing clarified the dangers of Mpox and urged the people to be vigilant as Mpox (monkey pox) disease has started to occur in Thailand.

On the occasion, Daw Nang Amy Khaing called on the people to report immediately to health authority and receive necessary tests and treatments if you have been in close contact with a monkey pox patient or have suspected symptoms.—Sai Myo Thant(Maukmai)
