Senior General Min Aung Hlaing stressed that local peace and stability meas­ures must be taken systemati­cally to ensure the safety of life and property of the people.

 

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander- i n -Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice-Admiral Htein Win, Commander-in- Chief (Air) General Tun Aung and union-level dignitaries, yesterday morning said so in his inspection tour of peace and stability measures in the Eastern Command area.

 

In his response, the Senior General underlined that infor­mation about security measures must be gathered to restore peace and stability in the region and security measures.

 

He added that all measures must be taken not to damage roads and bridges being used by the people.

 

The Senior General stressed that the Pa-O Self-Ad­ministered Zone has restored peace over the years and has been joining hands with the government to restore peace and stability in the region for many years.

 

Hence, he continued to say that emphasis must be placed on stabilizing the areas terror­ists enter.

 

The Senior General ex­plained that as the State de­clared MNDAA, TNLA and AA armed groups as terrorists on 2 September, those who con­tact these terrorists are also committing terror acts.

 

He highlighted that MPF members and administrative officials need to serve the inter­est of the people without making burdens.

 

The Senior General’s guid­ance was that concerted efforts must be made to successfully enumerate the population and household census with solid se­curity measures.

 

Commander Maj-Gen Zaw Min Latt of the Eastern Com­mand reported on local secu­rity duties being carried out by Tatmadaw members, MPF members and people’s militia in the Eastern Command area, rehabilitation of Loikaw and oth­er towns damaged in attacks by KNPP, KNDF and PDF terror­ists, and seizures of arms and ammunition, returning of PDF terrorists into legal fold and sei­zures of illegal timber.

 

At the local Tatmadaw hos­pital in Aungban, the Senior General comforted Tatmadaw member patients receiving med­ical treatment for their injuries sustained while serving the de­fence and security duties of the State and fulfilled their needs.

 

The Senior General also presented cash awards and gifts to Tatmadaw member patients.

 

The Senior General inspect­ed preparations to build a stadi­um facilitated with a 400-metre track in the compound of the hospital and gave necessary guidance to officials. — MNA/ TTA
