The Myanmar delegation led by State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo met the delegation of Fund RC-Investments on 4 September after attending the 9th Eastern Economic Forum in Russia.

 

During the meeting, they cordially discussed cooperation between Myanmar and Fund RC-Investments, progress in collaboration and future work plans.

 

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Thet Thet Kh­ine contributed to the dialogue on New contours of Interna­tional cooperation during the Russia-ASEAN Business Di­alogue on 4 September, while Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than on Experience of Developing Production Chains in The EAEU, SCO and BRICS during Cooperation In Greater Eurasia event.

 

The Myanmar delegation held vital meetings with Russian officials during their visit. On 4 September, they met General Director Mr Grigory Nazarov of Rosatom Renewable Energy Joint-Stock Company and Depu­ty Minister of Industry and Com­merce Mr Alexsei Gruzdev. They discussed power-related mat­ters, cooperation in No (2) Steel Mill (Pin Pet), pharmaceutical and other industries.

 

On 5 September, the My­anmar delegation attended the Main Forum-Plenary Session of 9th Eastern Economic Forum.

 

Russian President Mr Vladimir Putin delivered the key­note speech, saying to promote energy supply and transport infrastructure, ensure power supply to uplift the industrial sec­tor and living standard, upgrade transport networks such as the Trans-Siberian Railway and the Baikal-Amur Mainline, and high­light the importance of Northern Sea Route as an international logistical route between Asia and Europe in future and Logistics Corridors for Asian countries.

 

On 6 September, the My­anmar delegation visited the Primorsky Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture under the Federal Scientific Centre of Agricultural Biotechnology of the Far East and observed the research fields, paddy species and other crops.
