At the invitation of the organ­izing committee of the People’s Republic of China’s Internation­al Trade and Investment Expo, a delegation led by Deputy Min­ister for Planning and Finance Daw Than Than Lin attended the 24th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CI­FIT) in Xiamen, China, from 7 to 11 September.

 

The event was attended by senior government officials, representatives from invest­ment promotion agencies, and business firms from over 100 countries.

 

On 7 September, the dele­gation also participated in the 22nd-anniversary conference of the PRC’s Investment Pro­motion Agencies Federation, where they presented Myan­mar’s investment procedures, potential for investment, and opportunities for cooperation.

 

The Deputy Minister and her team attended the opening ceremony of CIFIT on 8 Sep­tember.

 

In the afternoon, they took part in discussions on the Re­gional Comprehensive Eco­nomic Partnership (RCEP), focusing on the benefits of re­gional economic cooperation and Myanmar’s potential in­volvement in RCEP.

 

Additionally, the delegation visited Xiamen’s independent trade zone, micro and medi­um-sized industrial businesses, and the “Invest in China Dia­logues between Specialized and New Enterprises and Hidden Champions” Expo. The dele­gation returned to Yangon yes­terday evening. — MNA/TMT
