SATE Administration Coun­cil Member Khun San Lwin, accompanied by Shan State Road and Transport Minister U Nay Win Aung, Pa-O Self-Ad­ministered Zone Chairman U Khun Ye Htwe and PNO (Pa- O National Organization) met locals at Mya Thein Tan Pari­yatti Monastery in Pinlaung Township, and provided cash assistance to disaster-impact­ed people yesterday.

 

The SAC member and party first paid homage to the Presiding Patron Sayadaw of the Mya Thein Tan Pariyatti Monastery and donated offer­ings.

 

The SAC member then talked about the rehabilita­tion processes for the losses of flood-hit victims, coopera­tion in rehabilitation process­es and prioritized sectors in transport.

 

The Shan State Road and Transport Minister and the Pa-O Self-administered Zone Chairman reported on the re­lief works in Hopong, Hsihseng and Pinlaung townships.

 

Then, the SAC member handed over K10 million, and the PNO Secretary-General presented K5 million to the relevant officials.

 

At noon, the SAC member and party observed Naung­taya Potato cold storage and Naungtaya fertilizer factory.

 

At the reception hall of the factory, the SAC member met locals and highlighted plans to conduct rehabilitation pro­cesses by collecting data on de­stroyed schools, roads, bridges and clinics and importance of cooperation between donors and locals and the government.

 

Then, the SAC member and party heard the locals’ presentations. They then do­nated K5 million for Naung­mu rehabilitation processes, K10million for Naungtaya region, and the CB bank of Aungban township donated K5 million and K3 million by Naungtaya Agriculture and Co­operatives Association to the Township National Disaster Management Committee and locals. — MNA/KTZH
