The Phyusin Myitta Philanthropic Association (Yangon) is set to donate roofing sheets worth K127.5 million to villages submerged by flooding in Tatkon Township, according to sources.
The Phyusin Myitta Philanthropic Association (Yangon) donated 20 roofing sheets (valued at 500,000 kyats) per house to 22 houses in Yetwinphyu village, 23 houses in Nyaungbintha village, five houses in Chaungkhwa village, 27 houses in Naungkham village, ten houses in Letpankone village, and 13 houses in Shaukone village, all located in Tatkon Township, which were affected by the floods.
Furthermore, the association will continue donating roofing sheets to 10 houses in Gyogon village, 15 houses in Phaungtaw village, 16 houses in Thitseintpin village, 66 houses in Ngatezu village, 16 houses in Letpanpu village, 27 houses in Kangyi village, five houses in Thayetoak village, and houses in Kinthalankwe village, according to the association’s announcement.
“We will provide 20 roofing sheets per house to a total of 255 households, amounting to a total donation of 127.5 million kyats. I have personally contributed 50 million kyats, and together with our partner organizations such as Setkarnwel (Bago), Anagut Kwelpwint Blood Donor Association (Bago), Myitta Shwesein (Bago), and others like Ko Alone (Waw) and Phyusin Myitta Philanthropic Association (Yangon), we are collectively carrying out this good cause. If more villages are identified as needing roofing sheets, I will continue to donate,” said a member of the Phyusin Myitta Philanthropic Association (Yangon).
Similarly, preparations are underway to provide relief items, including rice, instant noodles, assorted snacks, purified water, blankets, pots, spoons, and plates, to victims of natural disasters in the Wundwin, Kalaw, Inlay, and Nyaungshwe areas. — Htun Htun/TKO
