STATE Administration Council Member Daw Dwe Bu met the leaders and officials of 16 religious groups at Malikha Hall of the Kachin State government office yesterday.
During the meeting, she urged them to find a solution for peace and tranquillity and the development of the country and the region, as well as cooperation to build peace and tranquillity under the teachings of religion.
Leaders of religious groups reported on the needs in the missionary sector, the SAC member negotiated with the relevant officials, and the KBC Reverend and Catholic Church Father prayed.
At noon, she met leaders and officials of 14 ethnic literary and cultural associations.
At the event, she said the SAC initiates all-inclusive meetings for the peace of the country, and leaders of the ethnic people should participate for peace and tranquillity in their respective states and the nation. Ethnic leaders reported on the preservation of literature, culture and heritage. She concluded the meeting after hearing the reports.
She then proceeded to the Garunalet youth training centre and donated 50 bags of rice, ten bottles of ten-viss cooking oil and K5 million for the centre. — MNA/KTZH
