STATE Administration Council Member Mahn Nyein Maung, accompanied by Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win and relevant of­ficials, inspected the replan­tation of monsoon paddy in flood-damaged land areas in Myanaung District yesterday.

 

The SAC member and par­ty first observed the Byaw Tun paddy plantation on 2.50 acres of farmland in Ingapu Township of Myanaung District, Sinsh­wekya-2 sunflower plantation on five acres of farmland in Kanyingu village, monsoon sunflower (Sinshwekya-2) and monsoon peanut (Magway-12) on 350 acres of land in Kazu­ngon village-tract and rotary weeding and Leersia hexandra killing processes in monsoon paddy (Sinshwekya-2) field and monsoon sesame (Samonnet) field.

 

They then headed to the Kaung Thant oil mill on Thabawameeset Street in Myanaung, where they dis­cussed the production pro­cesses, market status, raw materials, and plan to promote sunflower oil production.

 

They also observed the census-collecting process­es conducted at Ward 4 in Manaung Township.

 

They attended the meet­ing held at Aung Zeya Stadium, highlighted the vital role of the census and called on public par­ticipation.

 

They also provided paddy seeds and agrochemicals to the flood-inflicted farmers from Myanaung, Kyangin and Ingapu townships. — MNA/KTZH
