Over 29,000 acres of oilseed crops have been earmarked to grow in this year’s cold season in Kyunhla Township, Kanbalu District of Sagaing Region, according to the Township Agriculture Department.
"In this year's cold season, 29,540 acres of oilseed crops have been targeted to plant in the entire Township and farmers are encouraged to cultivate good quality seed suitable for the local climate,” said Daw Myint Myint Yee, head of the Township Department of Agriculture. “Then, relevant officials from Department of Agriculture are imparting knowledge on agricultural sector,” she added.
A total of 29,540 acres of oilseed crops including 13,896 acres of ground nut, 1236 acres of sunflower, 14033 acres of sesame and 357 acres of mustard seed has been earmarked to grow this cold season in the Township, according to statistics released by the Township Department of Agriculture.—Myo Win Nyo(Kyunhla)
